The last of the Garden Connect project visits. This time at Wentworthville Community garden.
The cooking demo was held under the shade of a bird loving tree. Tom from Edible Garden gave a connection gift of two passion fruit seedlings. They will get to grow on the fence surrounding the garden.
As usual community gardeners get to have a great time hanging out together. A couple of wentworthville stories; they just had their open day, over 900 people came to visit. This day also raises funds for garden equipment, this year it is for new sleepers to refurbish the garden beds. They also make their own compost tea, the Wenty Wonder. Easy enough to brew in a wheelie bin, just with green leaf mulch and water. It proves to be excellent for promoting some green leaf growth. Their choko vines are a couple of years old now and after giving them Wenty Wonder, they produce a bounteous crop.
